Career Agent
You will start your career with AIL/NIL as a Licensed American Income/National Income Division appointed professional, offering supplemental insurance to working families.
Supervising Agent
Supervising Agents, or SAs, recruit new Agents and build them into teams. They also help identify potential new SAs.
General Agent
Alongside the State and Master General Agents, General Agents recruit to build small teams of Supervising Agents, field-train new Agents, and identify potential candidates for SA and GA roles.
Master General Agent
The Master General Agent, or MGA, works with Regional and State General Agents to build small teams of General Agents, field-train new Agents, and identify potential candidates for SA, GA, or MGA roles.
Regional General Agent
This role works to build small teams of MGAs, who oversee their own hierarchies of GAs, SAs, and Agents. At this level, RGAs run their own Agencies.
State General Agent
The State General Agent, or SGA, is the highest level attainable with AIL/NIL. SGAs recruit, contract, and train all levels of Agents, and groom them for leadership roles.

- In collaboration with your managers (GA and MGA) recruit to build your team of 1–6 agents
- Field train new agents
- Identify potential managers in your hierarchy for SA position

TYPICALLY 3–6 MONTHS
General Agent (GA)
Objectives
- In collaboration with your managers (SGA and MGA) recruit to build your team of approx. 2–3 Supervising Agents with approx. 1–6 agents per SA
- Field train new agents
- Identify potential managers in your hierarchy for SA or GA position

TYPICALLY 6–9 MONTHS
Master General Agent (MGA)

- In collaboration with your managers (SGA and RGA) recruit to build your team of approx. 2–3 GAs with approx. 2–3 SAs with approx. 1–6 agents per SA
- Field train new agents
- Identify potential managers in your hierarchy for SA, GA, or MGA position

TYPICALLY 9–18 MONTHS
Regional General Agent (RGA)
Objectives
- In collaboration with your SGA, recruit to build your team of approx. 2–3 MGAs with approx. 2–3 GAs per MGA, with approx. 2–3 SAs per GA, with approx. 1–6 agents per SA
- Identify potential managers for all levels of your hierarchy
- RGAs must have their own MGA agency

TYPICALLY 18–24 MONTHS
State General Agent (SGA)
Objectives
- Recruit, contract, and train new agents and managers
- Identify potential managers in your hierarchy for all leadership positions

Qualifications
- Currently on MGA/RGA contract
- Minimum $225,000 1st Six Mo. Agent production (Last 12 Months)
MIN. 2 YEARS TENURE
Please refer to each local State General Agent regarding minimum standards and qualifications to qualify for contract promotion. Each State General Agent is and independent contractor appointed with American Income Division or National Income Division.
